Personal: Share your story, who are you and why have you joined, where you live, what talents you have, your family, other animals, life purpose - anything about yourself.
After a wonderful lifetime of riding, showing, and just "being with " horses, I wanted a way to bring the amazing community of horse women I have come to know and those who I know are out there that I don't know, together. Horsewomen share a common bond, not just loving and caring for horses, but often doing so much more. It has been an honor that through over 30 years of teaching about horses and humans, I have been able to share stories, friendships, hardships, knowledge, emotions, and fun with such a great group of people and horses. So after owning this domain name for almost 15 years, I started this community and want to grow the web site into a networking and educational site for horsewomen. It is my hope that generations of horsewomen from around the world will come together to share, support, exchange knowledge, market and just have fun getting to know each other.
Interest in Horses: Share if you love horses, have horses -what kind, ride-type of riding, any reasons you are connected with horses.
Now, I just love a ride on the beach or trail ride through the forest, or sitting or sleeping at the barn listening to my horses eat and breath. I grew up in California training and showing jumpers with the High Riders. I had a great horse, High "n" Mighty who was a junior jumper champion. Later, I galloped race horses and was one of the first women in California to do so --see how old I am already. Then I went off and studied wild horses in Wyoming and got my degrees in Wildlife Ecology and Range Management with a focus on behavioral ecology of wild horses.
Later I went on to study and get a masters in Human-Animal Consciousness, Healing and Interaction
My passion is to help to people understand how to connect and hear and feel what horses and other parts of nature are thinking/feelings --to share in this magic world that exists when you can connect to all life. Horses have been my teachers and my therapists, my friends and guardians.
Career: Tell us what you do, if you have a horse-related business or other business, if you are a student, or want to have a career with horses.
Well, I am not a computer person, so running this web site is totally out of my league, but I am determined to not fall too far behind the technology line , so I am trying. In my real life I consult on anything having to do with humans interacting with nature and animals. My primary profession is as Applied Equine Behavioral Ecologist --I help people understand what is really natural for a horse and learn how to apply knowledge of wild horses to how we care for and rider domestic horses. I also work in ecological equestrian developments and helping people work with nature --I write, teach, produce and do anything that will help to raise consciousness and awareness between humans, animals and nature. I love my life, my friends and my work and I love helping others find their passions in life and fulfill their purpose.

Horsewomen Community: How would you like to use this network? What do you have to share or want to learn? What kind of groups or people do you want to connect with?
I need help with administration and growing this web site , so yet me hear from anyone who wants to help. I can't do this alone, nor do I want to. I am great networker, but I want this community to evolve with the input of everyone.
For Fun: Favorite Color, Zodiac sign
Turquoise, bright peachy/pink --look at the watercolors -Virgo

It is a great place to be with horses. It's so much fun to see all the personalities come out when they're all together. I'm excited because we're about to add 10 yearlings to the herd, which should provide some excitement.
